Cycling by the Grand
Enjoy a leisurely bike ride to the nearby town of Paris following the Trans Canada Trail, which in our neighbourhood meanders alongside the picturesque Grand River. Langdon Hall will provide a knapsack with maps highlighting sights to see as you ride, as well as a snack and delicious packed lunch.

Grand River Canoeing
The historic Grand River, flowing Southward near Langdon Hall, offers calm waters for recreational paddling. We will arrange 2-hour and 4-hour canoe trips for both beginners and enthusiasts. You can drive to the Freeport or Cambridge sites operated by our highly experienced partner, Canoeing the Grand. Helpful staff will transport you upriver by shuttle bus and provide a canoe (including paddles and floatation devices) in which you can canoe back to your car. Along the river, enjoy a gourmet picnic from our kitchen.

Antiquing Waterloo County
There are wonderful places to shop for antiques and collectables among the peaceful farm towns of Waterloo County. Langdon Hall will arrange a self-guided tour of the area’s best antiquing venues, as well as other interesting places you may wish to visit en route. We will also provide a wicker picnic hamper filled with treats.
